January 1, 2015
One of my favorite things in 2014 is Nashville, an American musical drama TV series. I find the complex relationship between Rayna Jaymes and Deacon Claybourne very titillating – the romantic attraction that pulls them together and the many complications that push them apart. All at the same time.
I also love the beautiful songs of Nashville, especially “A Life That’s Good” performed by Lennon and Maisy Stella. It’s New Year’s Eve and I have had this song on auto replay as I think through the things I am grateful for this year and make a lazy attempt to plan for next year.
In a subtle way, the song reminds me of some of the most important things in life – God, life, love, family, dreams, health and a sound mind – things that I already have and all I need to get what I do not have yet.
Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I am stepping away from my crazy to-do lists and action plans and I am paying attention to how ”rich” I already am.
2015 will only come once and regardless of the challenges I face, I know that for everything I desire in 2015, I already have more than I need to achieve my dreams.
I wish all Woman.NG readers a prosperous 2015 and I pray that you will see the beauty in all that you have, and may the little you have become grand.
